Morning Routine

 

Getting out of bed can be challenging especially if you’re not a morning person. Here are a few ideas to make getting out of bed a little easier.

1) Set lights to fade in before the alarm.

Using light to wake can be beneficial. While natural light is excellent the advantage of smart lights is they are consistent all year round and can be scheduled to your routine.

You’ll need smart lights/switches for this. Some come with this feature inbuilt. Some you’ll need to program yourself.

2) Start playing the radio/playlist

Rather than a harsh alarm play your favourite radio or playlist instead

You can set the volume to fade in as well

3) Blinds open

Same point as having lights fade in. Using light to wake up is easier.
The advantage of blinds opening is that is twofold. One natural light is good. Second, it puts on the same light sync for the rest of the day.

4) Air conditioning starts

You can set your air conditioner, heater or fan to turn on before you wake to create a friendly environment. This can be programmed to only start above or below a specific temperature so it doesn’t waste electricity.
